There are three levels of the PRINCE2™ Maturity Model (P2MM) Accreditation that your organisation can be awarded, these are as follows:

P2MM Accreditation - Initial Level - Does the organisation recognise projects and run them differently from its ongoing business? (Projects may be run informally with no standard process or tracking system).
P2MM Accreditation - Repeatable Level - PRINCE2™ is adopted by projects within the organisation, but is applied inconsistently across projects within the organisation.
P2MM Accreditation - Defined Level - PRINCE2™ has been tailored to align to other organisational processes and is the adopted standard for all projects within the organisation.

Our PRINCE2™ Maturity Model (P2MM) Accreditation Solution for organisations can be offered in two ways:

P2MM Preparation (KPS Support CoE) > P2MM Assessment (KPS Services CoE) > P2MM Accreditation (KPS Solution CoE).

How can your Organisation undertake PRINCE2™ Maturity Model (P2MM) Accreditation?

In order for your organisation or a defined part of your organisation to be awarded one of the P2MM Accreditation levels, PRINCE2™ Maturity Model (P2MM) assessments are a pre-requisite. KPS Consultants must conduct a full assessment to determine your level of PRINCE2™ maturity. The assessment will be carried out by our PRINCE2™ Registered Consultants and will comprise of interviews held with nominated individuals who are responsible for key PRINCE2 project roles within your organisation.

During the assessment process KPS Consultants will arrange a number of days when the interviews will take place, a maximum of 4 interviews will be held in one day. For full details on our assessment process please see KPS Consultants PRINCE2™ Maturity Model (P2MM) Assessments page.

Certification of an organisation's maturity is conducted in accordance with EN45011 and requires conformance with APMG/OGC Maturity Model Standards. Therefore on only one of the interview days during the assessments KPS Consultants will be independently assisted/monitored by our strategic partner APMG to ensure KPS Consultants adhere to the standards set by APMG/OGC.

At the end of each interview day (of which there may be more than one depending on the size of your organisation) KPS Consultants will score each interview. When all interview days are complete, KPS will go through the interview scores to determine the PRINCE2™ maturity level for your organisation (or a defined part of your organisation).

We will then compile a formal PRINCE2™ Maturity Model (P2MM) Accreditation Report identifying our findings along with our recommendation of PRINCE2 maturity accreditation. This report will be presented to APMG along with KPS Consultants interviewee response notes and scores for an independent verification by an APMG Assessor.

If KPS Consultants recommendation is accepted your organisation will be presented with a P2MM certificate confirming your level of PRINCE2™ maturity.

Summary of PRINCE2™ Maturity Model (P2MM) Accreditation Process

KPS Consultants PRINCE2™ Registered Consultants to conduct Assessments in accordance with our P2MM Assessment Service.
An APMG Assessor to witness one day of interviewing that KPS Consultants conduct on site.
KPS Consultants to produce a PRINCE2™ Maturity Model (P2MM) Accreditation Report identifying gaps, strengths, areas of improvements and recommendation of your organisation's maturity.
Present APMG with KPS Consultants P2MM Accreditation report and evidence of all the interviews conducted requesting certification for the proposed PRINCE2™ Maturity Level.
An Independent Verification Review will be conducted by an APMG Assessor.
If KPS Consultants P2MM Accreditation level recommendation has been accepted by our partner APMG a P2MM Accreditation Certificate will be issued to your organisation.
KPS Consultants will present our feedback in the form of a formal report advising on which measures need to be put in place to achieve the next level of maturity.
Access to Accreditation logos will be provided to your organisation.
Your organisation will be listed on the accreditation body web site.

How long does the PRINCE2™ Maturity Model (P2MM) Accreditation Certificate last?

The certification of a P2MM Accredited organisation will last for 3 years and will require annual external audits with a major review after three years. An organisation that is awarded level 2 on the initial assessment may be awarded level 3 during the course of the three years without a further major review. This can be achieved by having an improvement plan which is delivered over an agreed period of time that is validated during one of the annual external reviews.
