KPS News is proud to introduce the KPS Race for Life 2010 (as part of KPS Events) and to announce that Team KPS - Maya Kotecha, Becky and Mitali have successfully completed the KPS Race for Life 2010 on 25th July 2010 at Kingston and Kempton Park. Team KPS have so far managed to raise 800 GBP plus 191.79 GBP Gift Aid in one week for Cancer Research UK. Please help KPS Race for Life 2010 exceed its target for a great cause. Learn more.

KPS News reports that Nish and Maya Kotecha attend an exclusive wedding by special invitation from a former manager of a KPS Director (almost 15 years ago!) and client (Heard of Grid Technology? If yes, you may figure out who!). The wedding events took place at highly prestigious private grounds in Buckinghamshire. Nish & Maya Kotecha were delighted to make acquaintances with leading figures in the Interim Management, Consulting and Training domains as well as VC's and entrepreneurs from various other specialist business sectors. If this wasn't impressive enough how about dinner, drinks, fireworks display (witnessing the international space station passing through the heavens above) and breakfast the next morning with a direct representative of Her Majesty the Queen.

World Cup 2010, Deutschland, 4!!!! England, 1 (actually 2!!). Germany shows England how football is really played! Better luck next time England. Germany clearly deserved to win through demonstration of superior pace, technical play, zero complacency and a consistently visible hunger throughout the game! This is the World Cup after all! Whilst disappointed, the highest respect for the German team, brilliantly executed, the right team to go through on this occasion, albeit absolutely no respect for the call to lower England's motivation on the unquestionable England goal 2. England requires English leadership, mentoring, coaching and of course the right players.

Was today the end of economic Kalyug and the start of Satyug? Is the Mayan Calendar year 2012, the initiation of Satyug itself? Conservative Chancellor Rt Hon George Osborne reveals emergency budget based on responsibility, freedom and fairness. Yes times are tough and will perhaps get tougher before getting better, but doesn't every action have an equal and opposite reaction in the words of Newton? Similarly, does the world really believe it can go on indefinitely extracting resources from mother earth without consequence? What happens when you try to run a conventional car without oil? Yes, it works, but for how long before ceasing? Do we really believe that aircraft and the air transport industry can continue polluting our skies without impacting our very ability to live on this place we call Earth? Its only a question of time, which nature has plenty of, unfortunately humans have something we call life expectancy. Nature will react to human intervention, slowly but surely.

KPS News confirms that the company has successfully passed its 4th year external audit by BSI against the UKAS ISO 9001 standard with top marks. Zero outstanding or new NCP's were identified. KPS continuously assesses the value of such subscriptions, accreditations and suppliers to ourselves and ultimately our clients (top priority). KPS' decision to maintain ISO 9001 registration for the 4th consecutive year should by no means imply BSI or indeed UKAS ISO 9001 itself is exempt from ongoing scrutiny with reference to the value brought to ourselves and our clients. KPS follows a simple philosophy, if it yields no real benefit or RoI why do it in the first place. Could the investment, both in terms of time and cost, be better utilised elsewhere? Would the investment be better passed on directly to clients, employees, associates or those in need? At this point in time however, UKAS ISO 9001 is one such subscription we and our clients do value. KPS will continue its own assessment over the next period.

David Cameron, Prime Minister turns UK skies blue. The British flag flies high as does the bird of liberty heading towards a blue sky of opportunity. David Cameron, Prime Minister takes on his first day at the office joined by Nick Clegg, David Cameron's appointed Deputy Prime Minister. Will David Cameron become UK's much needed super statesman putting British national interests first? Will David Cameron and Nick Clegg go down in the history books as UK Government's first dynamic duo? One thing is for sure, the UK could certainly do with cleaner and clearer blue skies. Did you know - Nish Kotecha's key principles become the official principles of David Cameron's Government as reflected in David Cameron's official statement (televised and written), an unexpected but great honour indeed!

The IIP award will be the second award/certification which KPS will have voluntarily dropped as a result of the companies ongoing benefits realisation activities, reviews and lessons learned over many years. Maya Kotecha, KPS simultaneously received both the KPS CoTY 2008 & KPS CoTY 2009 plaque at Stage 1 of the award ceremony at the top of BT Tower! Images to be published on the KPS Gallery.
The event was sponsored by BT Group, to whom, we, our clients and guests owe our gratitude for the unique experience. BT Tower is by special invitation only and not open to the public. Upon probing Maya over the years, it was clear that her preference (being a people person) would have been to be with individuals that mean a lot to her, regardless of venue or location and to share memories and experiences with those individuals, without whom the award would be meaningless to her. As part of our ongoing and continuous review of subscriptions, memberships, accreditations and through direct client feedback, there may be certain bodies, institutes, charities or associations which we and our clients may feel do not yield any benefits, either for ourselves or clients. As a result of such reviews, KPS Consultants may drop it's association with such entities either temporarily or indefinitely. However, we are pleased to advise that the APM (Association for Project Management) is not one of these entities for 2010/11. In support of the APM (as a standalone entity) and in support of its mission, KPS Consultants maintains its third year as an APM Registered Corporate Member. KPS Event Alert - Construction/Building Projects? Many consumers up and down the country have suffered at the hands of rogue cowboy builders/traders in the construction/building industry and many at the hands of illegal immigrants/workers in the UK, some perhaps even working illegally with the full knowledge, support and recommendation of UK citizens/UK registered companies or indeed corrupt staff in organisations that have authority in the UK (one could say - the enemy within). Do you have such a cowboy builder experience to share? if so, we'd love to hear from you. Many know of Channel 5's cowboy builders, if not here's the link. You should also consult with other relevant UK authorities such as Trading Standards and the Home Office and report any suspicions. By request, and in an attempt to promote best practices within the construction industry KPS Consultants to work with a major UK construction authority starting by delivering a capability presentation on MS Project as a project planning tool for construction/building projects.
