Institute of Business Consulting (IBC) Recognised Practice
KPS Consultants is an Institute of Business Consulting (IBC) Recognised Practice. The IBC Recognised Practice award is issued by the IBC which has been created owing to a merger between the Institute of Management Consultancy (IMC) and the Institute of Business Advisors (IBA). KPS Consultants have also been awarded the internationally recognised status of Certified Management Consultant (CMC®).
What is the Institute of Business Consulting (IBC)?
The Institute of Business Consulting (IBC) is the Professional Body for Business and Management Consultants. In January 2005 the Institute of Business Consulting (IBC) merged with the Chartered Management Institute (incorporated by Royal Charter), retaining their identity and individualism whilst benefiting from the strength of the Chartered Management Institute.
The Institute of Business Consulting (IBC) sets out, maintains and raises the standards of both professionalism and competence for the business consulting and management consulting professions. Their mission is to promote excellence in business and management consultancy by:
- Setting management consulting standards and certifying consulting practitioners.
- Regulating management consulting practitioners and, where appropriate, practices by providing codes of conduct backed up by disciplinary arrangements.
- Identifying best practice management consulting practices in the profession and to facilitate access to such practices.
- Providing the principal source of comment on professional management consulting matters and other issues affecting the practice of management consultancy.
- Directly engaging with all practice stakeholders.
What is an IBC Recognised Practice?
An IBC Recognised Practice is a business and management consultancy that is recognised by the Institute as operating to high standards of professionalism and competence. The IBC Recognised Practice agrees to abide by the Institute of Business Consultings' (IBC) Code of Practice and has consultants who are members of the Institute of Business Consulting (IBC).
What is the Certified Management Consultant (CMC®) Award?
The Institute of Business Consulting (IBC) ensures that its members work to the Institute's professional code of conduct and by providing an assessment procedure whereby consultants become certified. The award gained through this process is the Certified Management Consultant which is the only internationally recognised award for competence in the UK. It is in addition recognised in all the 40 countries which along with the UK belong to the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI).
